Hej! (That's hello in Danish) In just a few short weeks, I will be jet setting off to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark to study abroad for the fall semester of my junior year! I absolutely cannot believe that I will be living, learning, and exploring in a foreign country! I'm equal parts excited and nervous. Let's just say that I have had quite a few sleepless nights filled with list-making. While I have travelled abroad before, exclusively in Europe, I have never stayed in one city for more than a few weeks.
The main source of my nerves is not the flight or meeting new people or being away from home, but how to reflect my personality through my style. As all of my close friends and family know, I have the habit of changing my style on a whim. For a few months I can be a happy hippy, wearing bohemian clothes and minimal makeup. Then, one day, I can wake up and transform into a prepster, sporting Lilly Pulitzer and Ralph Lauren. Suffice it to say, my closet is a collage of styles. Recently, I have been exploring a style that I usually avoid, minimalism. In addition to being easiest to pack for my voyage overseas, I feel very inspired by the clean lines and silhouettes of the minimalist look. And of course, minimalism is undeniably chic!
